KARCHER BALADE

PERFORMANCE URBAIN DÉAMBULATOIRE

Karcherize to re-enchant the city … from banlieux to pedestrian centers

An essential romantic perspective on the public space.
Do love exchanges in a city increase, if it is karchérisée by the soapy bodies of a commando perfomers-cleaners?

CONDUCT

PRELIMINARY RESIDENCE: LOVE PAGAILLE

Residence of capture of urban disamor.
To prepare a Karcher walk and apprehend the urban space in a love perspective we launch a “Love Pagaille”. It consists of collecting stories of disaffection during a residence; the lovers, with volunteers.

4 lovers are retained per itinerary. 4 types of stories of disenchantment, 4 forms of suffering not to be loved:

  • Structural to the city (being invisible, ignored by others) stations, subway stations, main roads
  • Individuals (breakup)
  • Institutional (not sure to be desired as a citizen) ANPE, immigration service
  • Collective (anonymous pains) underground car parks, supermarkets, street furniture
It is in this order of step that the stories of disenchantment are restored
      Intimate forays
Particular importance is given to the share of intimacy in the public space.
Sound traces of loves mess are collected. They are broadcast as testimonials via radio Karcher Balade during the ambulatory. Radio writing makes it possible to give them an essential place in the system of public restitution.

Protocol Love Shambles (for use by volunteers at residences)
